IMIL is a pan-India IP-1 provider of high quality shared passive infrastructure for the wireless industry.  We place a high priority on maximizing quality and co-location in all of our operating decisions--from design, to site location, to construction quality and timeliness, to developing and leveraging state-of-the-art monitoring and automation systems, to management processes and employee training.  Our focus on driving high levels of co-location while increasing quality will reduce telecom operators’ direct expenses and improve an operator’s ability to deliver reliable quality service to its subscribers.  IMIL believes that it is in a different business than simply deploying and maintaining towers.

IMIL was conceived early in 2005 and incorporated in June of 2006.  We have deliberately and steadily built a pan-India operation located in ten circles plus our national headquarters in Gurgaon.  Rather than sprint to deploy towers in these early days of the independent tower industry, IMIL has chosen to pursue a strategy of first developing internal management and process competencies after which we now are poised to enter a phase of more rapid deployment and lease-up.

One person at a time, IMIL has assembled a team that has extensive telecom, construction, operations & maintenance, enterprise systems, and process experience.  This team has over a thousand years of combined experience at leading Indian telecom organizations.  Complimenting this domestic experience are a select number of individuals with experience at leading foreign tower companies such as SpectraSite (now part of American Tower), Global Signal (now part of Crown Castle) and Verizon.  These expatriates, working with Indian colleagues, are tailoring and applying technology and know-how for use in India.  We believe that we are meaningfully ahead of others in being able to apply certain knowledge to such diverse activities as advanced site monitoring and to organizing a co-location team with a streamlined process.

IMIL’s current footprint extends from its headquarters in Gurgaon to the following ten circles: Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, UP West, and UP East.  The two additional circles that are in the process of being opened are Bihar and West Bengal.  We intend to expand to the full 23 circle national footprint by the end of fiscal year 2008/9.

IMIL is well funded. Our parent company, The Keffi Group Ltd. (domiciled in the United States), has committed a significant amount of its own capital.  In addition, we are aligned with several well respected global equity investors and have strong relationships with leading domestic and global lending institutions.

IMIL is an unbiased independent provider of quality shared infrastructure. Independence, quality and co-location lead to a better and more cost-effective user experience for telecom operators.  As stated above, this differs markedly from simply deploying towers and maintaining these assets.  It also differs meaningfully from being a Turnkey Service Provider.  IMIL has been built from the ground up with this vision, and is confident that as its industry matures, we will differentiate ourselves and, on this basis, sustain stronger long-term relationships and more stable growth.  Telecom operators should want to do business with us.
